April 7 is WORLD HEALTH DAY

April 7 is WORLD HEALTH DAY. This year, World Health Day falls within the International Year of Fruits and Vegetables.

I am greatly appreciative of our fruits and vegetables farmers who provide healthy and nutritious food to Grenada. I thank them for their role in planting particularly indigenous crops to help us achieve food security, and for promoting sustainable use of our natural resources.

This World Health Day and moving forward, I implore our citizens to eat more locally grown fruits and vegetables to promote a diversified, balanced and healthy diet.

‘The greatest wealth is health.’ Virgil. Stay well, stay healthy.
